Experience Thoravej 29 – a house and community reimagined

Copyright: Emilia Boeng Nordland

Are you curious about a unique place where sustainable architecture meets community spirit? Where visionary ideas are given space to grow, and where collaboration across disciplines and organisations drives real change?

At Thoravej 29, nothing is ever dull – or entirely predictable. It's vibrant, challenging, and deeply meaningful. We believe in radical transformation through collective effort, that cross-disciplinary collaboration is key to social progress, and that the spaces we shape can support new ways of thinking, working, and being together.

Join a guided tour of our newly renovated building and hear the story behind how Pihlmann Architects radically rethought materials, aesthetics, and function. Discover how sustainability is embedded in every detail – from reused construction materials to the filling of seat cushions and the selection of dish cloths. Explore site-specific art and custom-designed furniture made especially for the space.

Feel how community and collaboration shape our daily life – and perhaps your tour will spark new connections and ideas. We’ll share our experiences of building bridges between associations, foundations, initiatives, and changemakers – and of creating a community bold enough to break with convention and rethink hierarchies.
