In the exhibition ’Session 8’, the Danish/Mexican artist duo Ghost Agency investigates how we have lost both the right to privacy and the ability to form communities as a consequence of digital technologies. Drawing on experiences from women in Mexico and youth in the American borderlands, they explore how – if at all – one can find refuge and resilience in the digital world.

With the exhibition Session 8, Ghost Agency documents parts of their extensive interdisciplinary practice across different artistic forms: film, sculpture, photography, and light installation.

About the artists

Ghost Agency is an artistic practice between Danish artist Gro Sarauw and Mexican artist and technologist Anni Garza Lau. Through practice-based research in collaboration with local NGOs and institutions, Ghost Agency develops an organizational structure that demonstrates how artistic experimentation through collective processes can articulate challenges and contribute to the development of women’s and human rights in the digital age.

Ghost Agency is part of Art Hub Copenhagen’s program Micro Institute from 2023 to 2026, and it is through this collaboration that Ghost Agency now presents their work in the exhibition Session 8 at Art Hub Copenhagen’s exhibition platform Room Room.
